All PDGA rules are in effect on ONU's course. Please be courteous to others and respect the ONU campus. A number of the grounds keepers at ONU are avid disc golfers, and they work hard to keep the course in good condition. Please don't create extra work for them!
2-Meter Rule:
Officially, the 2-Meter Rule is NOT in effect on ONU's course. If you would like to play with it however, please do.
Water:
The rentention pond that is sometimes full on #3 and #4 is considered CASUAL WATER, thus it is not a stroke penalty if your disc lands in it!
All other ponds are considered OB, resulting in a one-stroke penalty.
Standard drop rules apply on all holes EXCEPT on Hole #6 (drop from the approximate place where your disc first crossed the water). From the Long Tee on #6, Drop Zone is the Short Tee. If you land in the water from the Short Tee on #6, you must re-tee.
Parking Lots and Paved Roads:
On or over ALL parking lots or paved roads is OB. See below for special rules concerning sidewalks and the Green Monster.
Green Monster and Sidewalks:
The walking/running/bike track that runs through ONU's campus is called the Green Monster. If your disc lands on the Monster or the sidewalk it is OB. OVER the Monster and sidewalk is NEVER OB, unless it is over paved roads or parking lots.
Student Traffic and Athletic Practices:
#2 and #8 fairways are often home to ONU athletic practices. If those fairways have a practice on them, please SKIP the hole and give priority to these sporting events.
Beware of students! Especially on #16-#18. These holes are near academic building, so be aware of student traffic, especially while classes are in session.
Beware of foot and bike traffic on the Green Monster. Be sure to make sure they are clear before you throw!
Course availability:
The course is open any time you would like to play. Students use the Monster nearly 24hrs a day. The back of campus is a nice place to go and relax. If you want to come out and play a night round, please do!
